Wakatū Chair Paul Morgan was inducted into the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce hall of fame on Friday night, recognising his outstanding contribution to both business and the community at large.

Morgan says he was honoured to be inducted into the business hall of fame but also acknowledged others in the community.

“The honour is not mine alone, but is shared by whānau of Wakatū, my fellow board members, management, and the team who support our kaupapa,” Morgan said.

“We’ve got an ambitious vision for the current and future wellbeing of our whānau, and for all those who have chosen to call Te Tauihu home - tūpuna pono: to be good ancestors. This award is in recognition of all that we have achieved so far, and also a beacon for the generations of leaders who will follow.”
