Wakatū Incorporation is coming to Piripane (Brisbane) at the end of March to meet with some of our Owners based in Te Wheuna Moemoeā (Australia) and we need to know who will come along.

It’s our first visit to Australia and it will give us an opportunity to hear from our Owners who live there about what is important to them. We’ll also be able to let you about our plans for the future, provide background on our past, and assist with information about shareholding, succession planning and family trusts.

The team will be led by Te Tumu Whakarae (CEO), Kerensa Johnston. Accompanying her will be General Manager of People and Culture Rōpata Taylor;  Owners’ Executive; Celia Hawea-Hippolite,  and kaumātua Rore Stafford, member of Wakatū Board.

We plan to be in Brisbane from Tuesday 27 March through to Wednesday 28 March. To help us plan logistics such as venues, please let us know if you will be able to come and meet with us. We’re planning a hui on Tuesday evening 27 March, and then will set up appointments for the next day to meet with individuals and whānau who require more personalised advice about shareholdings, whakapapa and related matters.

Email angela@wakatu.org with your name, shareholder number, and how many whānau will be coming with you.  It would be useful to know if you would like to set up a one-on-one meeting as well.

He waka eke noa - we’re all in this boat together.
