Kayaks

Sea Kayaking is one of the regions most popular tourist attractions for national and international guests alike. At present there are many small owner operated kayaking companies based in the Abel Tasman.

In 2003, Wakatu Incorporation bought the two largest, oldest sea kayaking companies in Marahau, Ocean River Kayaks and Abel Tasman Kayaks. Then, in 2007 Wakatu bought more kayak companies and also formed a joint venture with Ngai Tahu Tourism - the new entity is a key market player in the local tourism arena.   For further information on our kayaks and the tours available, please click here.
