KONO Wine of New Zealand is sourced from the country’s premium wine region, Marlborough. Grapes are grown on our vineyards in the Awatere Valley and Waihopai Valleys and also on a vineyard in the Wairau Valley.
The Idyllic climate and specialised soil structure of the Marlborough region, creates some of the finest wines in the world. Our grapes are grown with soil and cultivation knowledge passed down from our forefathers. Together with European expertise, this gift of knowledge and our rich, unspoiled lands combine to create finer tasting wines.
We have recently planted a new Vineyard in the Upper Moutere Valley near Nelson. Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes will grow on this vineyard known as Whenua Matua, 'Homelands'.
The unique indigenous story surrounding KONO Wine along with the simplicity of the label and the quality of the product are key attributes of our wine range.
