  • Wage Pear Packhouse work during March

Ngatahi offer competitive contract rates, accommodation close to our orchards and a friendly, supportive work environment.

Unique Maori Experience

Ngatahi Horticulture is custodian of the ancestral lands of the people of Wakatu Incorporation and Ngati Rarua Atiawa Iwi Trust.

Ngatahi is charged with making a sustainable return from the land whilst ensuring the land is passed on to future generations in the best possible condition.

Our owners are very proud of their land and heritage and welcome any opportunity to share their values and culture with visitors to Motueka.

In partnership with Te Awhina Marae Ngatahi offer seasonal staff a unique Maori experience at the beginning of the harvest season in February.

This involves a Powhiri (welcome) onto Te Awhina Marae where our owners will explain the values and culture of their people.

At the completion of harvest in May we will Poroporoaki (farewell) our seasonal staff, including providing Kai (food) prepared by Hangi (traditional earth oven).

This is a wonderful and unique opportunity to combine seasonal work income with gaining a first hand understanding of the Maori people of New Zealand.
